Evie in Ireland, Part 3 (5/10)

Day 5: Cashel and Cahir to Killarney
In the morning we explored the Rock of Cashel, a castle that dates from the 12th and 13th centuries.  Around lunchtime we stopped in Cahir to see its castle. The castle was the type you probably imagined as a child - a moat, winding staircase, secret passages, a dungeon, a keep and portcullis, etc. After we left Cahir we headed to Killarney. By the time we arrived, we were too tired to go into town for dinner, so we settled for take-away from the Chinese restaurant next door. It turned out to be fabulous!

The unfortunately named Hore Abbey was right next to our caravan park in Cashel

You think Mom would mind if I brought this home?

When in Ireland, do as the Irish do!
