Evie in Dublin (5/23-5/24)

Day 18: Stirling, Scotland to Dublin, Ireland (again)
We had a big day ahead of us - it was our last real day of the trip and we had to take an early flight back to Dublin. Mom and Papa got up very early. I was so tired I slept through breakfast and the packing and cleaning of the campervan! It was a smooth flight back to Dublin. To lighten our load, Mom and Papa stored one of our two suitcases and my car seat at the airport since we didn't need much for the overnight stay. When we arrived at the hotel we found out they upgraded us to a small apartment - we were all so happy to have the extra space (and the kitchen/refrigerator, of course). After settling in, we took a short cab ride into the Temple Bar area and spent the afternoon wandering around and listening to traditional Irish music. It was a great end to a great trip!

Rise and shine!

The van is packed and clean - and I'm still passed out on the bed

Day 19: Dublin, Ireland to Tucson, Arizona
Our trip was officially over. We got up really early, caught the bus back to the airport, and hopped on the plane to Atlanta. I was a perfect angel on the way back. I slept for the first 4 1/2 hours of the flight! The remaining 3 1/2 hours was a breeze - I ate, read books, practiced my ABC's, and charmed the rest of the passengers. We had a 6 hour layover in ATL and another 4 hour flight from ATL to Tucson, which made for an extra-long day, but we made it home safe and sound and that's all that mattered.

This pretty much sums up our trip back to Tucson: total exhaustion!
