Evie in Ireland, Part 2 (5/9)

Day 4: Kilkenny to Cashel
The next morning we walked around the town of Kilkenny. First we saw St. Canice's Cathedral and the Cathedral of St. Mary, and then we made our way to Kilkenny Castle. The castle's main attraction (of course) was the playground right on the castle grounds. I met a couple of nice Irish kids, and Mom and Papa chatted with their mother about good sights to see. We had a delicious late lunch as a gastropub in town. Late in the afternoon we drove to Cashel, a very small town southwest of Kilkenny. Cashel is well known for the Rock of Cashel and for its local blue cheese. We stayed in Cashel at a caravan park next to Hore Abbey. The weather was so dreary, it made for a cozy stay in the campervan!
